🔥 Juniors Program – Coming Soon!
Our friends at Lavington Rural Fire Brigade are inviting any Jindera youths interested in joining the Juniors Program to get involved!
Participants will become members of Jindera Rural Fire Brigade, while training alongside other juniors at Lavington.

🚒 What to expect:
• Hands-on firefighting skills (based on FF1 & FF2)
• Weekly structured training
• Visits to other local brigades & emergency services, station tours, trucks, equipment, life skills and teamwork development
🌧️ Wet weather? No problem!
We’ll run indoor sessions with theory and interactive learning.

Its been a massive couple of days for our brigade, we have had our trucks all over the region including into Victoria. While the temperature may have fallen slightly, the risk still remains.
We would love to give a special shout out to MATTY and his dream team at Downtown Pizzeria albury for kindly offering to feed (for nothing) some 40+ fire fighters yesterday evening at doctors point south albury fire. As you can see below matty personally delivered the amazing dinner himself.

Crews have quickly contained a grass fire south of the township. For now it is safe but the situation could change in a second given the current weather conditions.

Update: 5:45pm - Due to a reduced threat, the fire has now been downgraded to an Advice alert level. Those in the vicinity should continue to monitor conditions and stay up-to-date with the latest information.

Update: 5:28pm - Firefighters are gaining the upper hand on the fire and the threat has reduced. The fire has now been downgraded to a Watch and Act alert level. Those in the area between Redlands Rd and Honour Ave should continue to monitor conditions.

There is a grass fire burning in the the vicinity of Whitehead St, Corowa. The fire is burning in a easterly direction under westerly winds towards Honour Ave.

If you are to the north of Corowa, in the area north of Redlands Rd and west of Honour Ave, you are in danger. Seek shelter now, or as the fire approaches. It is too late to leave.
