This term, our Girls Group+ at Cubbies have been learning the exciting art of fire twirling under the guidance of our talented playworker, Orlando!
The girls have embraced the challenge with enthusiasm, building confidence, coordination, and new skills while having plenty of fun along the way. We’re so proud of their dedication, courage, and willingness to try something new.
A huge thank you to Orlando for sharing his expertise and inspiring our young people to shine!

After more than a year leading The Venny, our CEO Carolyn Webster is moving on and we want to take a moment to properly acknowledge what she has built.

Carolyn came to the role having already given years of her time as a volunteer. Carolyn leaves behind a genuinely stronger organisation. She overhauled our systems and processes, created foundations that will serve this community for years to come, and led her team with real care and warmth.

On behalf of the board, we want to acknowledge the enormous contribution Carolyn has made to The Venny. We are sad to see her go and deeply grateful for everything she has given this organisation. We wish her every success in what comes next.

In partnership with The Kensington Association and City of Melbourne, The Venny is proud to support “Kensington Plays The Adaptation Game” on Monday 22nd June 6pm-8pm.
Using local maps and data, players will explore how Kensington could be impacted by events like storms, extreme heat and floods, and what we can do to build community resilience.
