We’re excited to announce that on Monday, The Venny’s Board elected a new Chairperson — Adeel Nabeebux 🎉

Adeel is a local resident who brings a wealth of experience in finance, legal, policy development, risk management, strategic planning, and advocacy. His knowledge, leadership, and commitment to community will be a great asset to The Venny.

Thank you to Mirvac staff for choosing to spend their National Community Day helping out at Cubbies today. The yard has never looked better!

Our new website is coming soon which features some beautiful new images. This one is already a favourite: capturing the simple joy and thrill of hiding away, unseen, with a friend.

At The Venny in Kensington, we have six chickens and two ducks—all females. One of our ducks is very determined to hatch both her own and her sister’s eggs, so we have to stay vigilant about collecting them.

Today we found her sitting on five eggs… and one golf ball! She’s even been known to try hatching plums before 🦆🥚

Our Cubbies Girls Group+ have created these amazing art boards! Not only do they brighten up the yard, they also help create a sense of privacy by screening off the outside world.

Thanks to a small grant from Yarra City Council, our Play Team has just completed three sessions of Behaviour Support and Trauma-Informed Practice training with the Australian Childhood Trauma Group.

We've gained some incredibly valuable insights and practical tools to better support the children and families we work with. Grateful for the opportunity and excited to put these learnings into practice!
