🌈 Colour Run Update🌈

Our Colour Run fundraising is off to a FANTASTIC start! A huge THANK YOU to all our Kingscliff Public School families for getting behind this year's fundraiser. We're already seeing some amazing results!

Here's how we're tracking so far:

🌟 25 students have already raised $100 or more!
🏆 1 Fishies are leading the fundraising charge with an incredible $2,040!
💚 SLIME ALERT! For every $5,000 we raise, someone will be SLIMED! We've already announced that Joey from 5K will be getting slimed. Who will be next?
We're well on our way towards our goal of beating our $37,000 fundraising record!

💚 WEEK 3 COMPETITION – IT'S SLIME TIME! 💚
This week, we're giving THREE lucky students the chance to be SLIMED!
Every student who has raised $100 or more by Friday 30th October at 3:00pm will automatically go into a special draw.
🎉 3 students will be randomly selected to be SLIMED! 🎉
Already raised $100? You're already in the draw!
Parents/carers of selected students will be contacted for permission before winners are announced.
So keep those donations rolling in, share your fundraising profiles with family and friends, and you could be one of our lucky slime winners!

Our upcoming Kingscliff Public School Art Show will feature a very special piece of artwork generously donated by local artist and KPS teacher, Miss Anita Ferguson.

Valued at $800, this is a wonderful opportunity to support our school while bidding on a beautiful, original piece of art.

The silent auction will take place at the Art Show:

Our Premier's Debating Kingy Conquerors are through to the North Coast Regional Finals!

Our talented debating team defeated Gulmarrad Primary in the Premier’s Debating Challenge Semi-Finals! The three adjudicators were unanimous in awarding the Kingy Conquerors the victory. Our amazing debaters are now among the top 20 teams in NSW from a starting field of 1,000! One more win will see them progress to the State Finals!

The North Coast Regional Final is on tomorrow! We are incredibly proud of our Kingy Conquerors teamwork, preparation and outstanding debating skills. Go Kingy!

Catch Our Wave of Learning – Introducing KPS SURFER Learning Dispositions!

This term, we are excited to launch our refreshed Kingy Learning Dispositions, building on our school motto, “Catch Our Wave of Learning”, and our whole-school focus on Engaging and Empowering Our Students.

For many years, our Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) framework has helped establish consistent expectations for positive behaviour across KPS. We are now building on this strong foundation by placing an additional focus on positive learning behaviours and empowering students to become confident, independent and effective learners.

Learning dispositions are the ways students think and act when learning. Just like learning to surf, learning isn't always smooth sailing! Sometimes we need to keep paddling, adjust our approach or get back up and try again.

Our SURFER framework (Seeker, Unstoppable, Robust, Flexible, Engaged and Reflective) gives students and teachers a shared language to recognise these learning behaviours and choose strategies to help them move forward when learning becomes challenging.

Throughout the term, classroom teachers will deliver engaging weekly lessons exploring each disposition and how students can apply them in their everyday learning.

Our goal is to empower every Kingy Kid to take ownership of their learning, embrace challenges and confidently catch their next wave of learning!

☀️🏎️ Stage 3 Solar Car Challenge! 🏎️☀️

Our Stage 3 students have been busy putting their creativity, problem-solving and STEM skills into action as they designed and built their very own solar-powered cars!

After plenty of designing, building and testing, two finalist teams from each class went head-to-head in an exciting series of races, with 12 teams competing for a place in the next round.

👏 A huge congratulations to our top five teams, who will proudly represent Kingscliff Public School at the Eye on the Future Challenge at Kingscliff High School at the end of Week 3!

We are so proud of the innovation, teamwork and determination shown by all our Stage 3 students. We can’t wait to see how our finalists go at the next challenge!

A HUGE good luck to our amazing Kingy athletes heading to Sydney over the next few days to compete at the NSW PSSA State Athletics Championships! 🌟

With a strong contingent of long-distance runners, speedy sprinters, powerful throwers, talented jumpers and our THREE dynamic relay teams, we can't wait to see our Kingy kids in action! 💪🔥

The early mornings, countless training sessions, determination and hard work have all led to this moment!

Give it your all, soak up the experience and, most importantly, enjoy every second! You've already made us incredibly proud! 💙💛
