Tiger plate. Many people I know have gotten tattoos lately, or thinking about getting tattoos. Tattoos aren’t for me, but I have been looking at lots of tattoo photos, thinking about them, and wanted to make myself something equally permanent. No pain and the best part is plates don’t wrinkle over time. 😉

Now on the shop - a new batch of turtle and fish art mugs.

I love making these mugs because each one is completely make. The process involves multiple layers and trips through the kiln. I use Mayco Colors glazes with crystals in them to create the underwater coral, celadons for the water, and overglaze decals for the turtle and fish (a permanent third lawyer of glaze that melts into the surface during a third trip through the kiln. The result is a textured world of color and creatures. Each mug has a different image on each side so they are a 360 degree experience.

All profit goes to environmental conservation.

New poppy mugs in the shop today. Each one is unique because the glaze changes color based on its thickness and where it is in the kiln. They mix a rustic matte background with a glossy poppy punch.

These handmade anatomy mugs are my small tribute to the people who dedicate themselves to understanding and caring for the human body. Featuring vintage-inspired illustrations of the brain, heart, lungs, stomach, ear, and spine. Each one is unique.
