A Kirrawee-based program helping women rebuild their lives after abuse has opened applications for its 2027 intake.
Hopefield's EVE Project is a 12-month trauma-informed program designed for women who have experienced abuse and are ready to take the next steps towards rebuilding their lives.
Run from Hopefield's Kirrawee centre, the program combines individual case management and therapeutic support with small-group sessions, life skills and work-readiness training.
Participants are also supported to explore pathways into employment, further education, training or volunteering.
The program is deliberately kept small, with a maximum of 10 women in each intake.
Hopefield says more than 80 per cent of women who have previously completed the program have achieved the goals they set for themselves.
To be eligible, applicants must be aged 18 or over and have experienced trauma or abuse. Hopefield says participants must have been out of the abusive relationship for at least 12 months, have stable housing and be receiving support from a counsellor or psychologist.
Applications are followed by an assessment process to determine whether the program is suitable for each applicant.
The EVE Project is delivered by Hopefield from its centre at 2-4 Tea Gardens Avenue, Kirrawee.
Applications are now open for the 2027 intake.
