In what was nearly a 24 hour operation crews from as far as Station 050 Hornsby assisted with this incident.
Recovery Operations Completed.
Overnight from Fire and Rescue NSW Station 461 Thirroul were responded to West Wollongong to assist with recovery operations from yesterday’s earlier fuel tanker fire.
As a result of successful operations the M1 Motorway was reopened shortly after 6.30am.
This incident highlights the depth of expertise and experience both within and to manage complex incidents such as this.
