Day in, day out, these women put their hearts, souls and often their lives on the line for our community. They do it with pride, dignity, courage, humility, professionalism and a truck load of sass. We love our wild, west country,
All her sunshine, drought and rain.
From the sparkling ocean beaches,
To the paddocks growing grain.

But more than land and country,
It’s the people we hold dear.
The strong and kind West Aussies,
Who make us want to cheer.

Through storms and floods and fire,
We’re there come rain or shine,
to keep you safe and sheltered,
and make sure that you’re fine.

The way you get behind us,
It makes it all worthwhile.
The messages of thanks,
The relief in all your smiles.

With faces now unmasked,

Discarded ci******es are not only the most littered item in Australia, they are also a major cause of bushfires each year 🔥 Let's tidy up our act and bin our butts!

This prayer is traditionally read at our Firefighter Memorial Service, which is usually held on a Sunday nearest to International Firefighters' Day.

These words are a fitting tribute to those who have embodied what it truly means to be a firefighter, to risk their lives for the safety of others.

Today, we honour those individuals who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.
