It’s International Zookeeper Day!! 🐍

Today we celebrate the amazing zookeepers who work tirelessly to care for our animals, educate our guests and inspire us to connect with nature. Behind every happy, healthy animal is a dedicated keeper with nothing but passion and a love for wildlife.

Rain, hail or shine, our keepers here at Rainforestation show up for our animals every single day and we cannot thank them enough! From training and providing enrichment, to being chased by a hungry wombat, no day is the same and our keepers wouldn’t change it for the world!

Thank you to our zookeepers all around the world for the amazing work you do and your dedication to the animals in your care ❤️ 🐾

Keita would like to remind you all that today is World Cassowary Day! 🌱🪶

Cassowaries are a keystone species, playing a vital role dispersing seeds throughout our rainforest. Their diet mainly consists of rainforest fruits, and as the cassowary travels through the rainforest, the seeds are dispersed far and wide. Without cassowaries, tropical rainforests would gradually lose their biodiversity and structural balance. 🌿

If you would like to meet Keita up close and learn a bit more about how we can help our cassowaries, come along to our Cassowary Presentation every morning at 9:40am!
