Clothing, shoes and other textiles don't belong in your yellow-lidded recycling bin. Donate, recycle or dispose of them the right way.

If they're still in good condition, consider donating them. Worn-out textiles can be recycled at your local resource recovery facility or placed in your red-lidded general waste bin if that's the best option.

Council has welcomed Labor's election commitment to invest $9 million to upgrade the Urquhart and High Street intersection in Woodend, a project identified in the Council’s advocacy prospectus. Details: mrsc.vic.gov.au/Woodend9m

We're sharing this election commitment to keep our community informed about funding announcements for local projects.

Council does not endorse any political party or candidate. We are advocating to all parties and candidates for support on a range of Council’s important community projects. Where candidates support Council’s advocacy or key projects, we will welcome this and encourage other candidates to do the same.

The final concept design for the Kyneton Skate Park is now complete 🛹

Thanks to community feedback, we've made improvements to the skate elements, pump track, seating, shade, accessibility, pedestrian access and overall layout of the precinct.

What's next? With the concept design now finalised — you can view it at yoursay.mrsc.vic.gov.au/kyneton-skatepark — the next step is to develop the detailed design before moving into construction for stage 1 early next year.

Thanks to everyone who shared their ideas and helped shape the design 😊

Barkly Square Pavilion is ready to build and we're calling on candidates for the Victorian Election to commit $3.87 million to help deliver this much-needed community facility in Kyneton.
