Islamic charity The Islamic Women’s Welfare Association (IWWA) started in 2000.

It was initially an informal gathering of dedicated Muslim sisters in Lakemba who were committed to providing community services targeted at meeting the needs of the multi-cultural Muslim women (and their families) in the area.
