Last night, Tasmaniaโ€™s Young People in New Energy Network hosted their first Power & Pints event in Hobart. This event was a huge success, with attendees connecting with colleagues from across the energy industry.

We would like to extend a special thanks to UTAS Marketing student, Georgia Rasmussen, who helped pull the event together.

We look forward to hosting more events of this nature in the future! Stay tuned & check out the events page on our website for updates!

โฐ Last chance!! Applications for the 2026 Tasmanian STEM Excellence Awards close this Sunday at 6pm.

But what is a STEM project? - A STEM project is any hands-on piece of work that applies science, technology, engineering or maths to solve a real problem, from a new app or medical device to a farming innovation or engineering fix.

If you're behind a STEM product, process or service that's made a real impact in Tasmania since July 2023, now's the time to put it forward for the Minister's Tasmanian STEM Innovation of the Year Award, $5,000 and a trophy for the winner, presented in Hobart this November.

Past winners have covered everything from agtech to medtech to game design. Tasmania's STEM talent is broad, and this is your chance to be recognised alongside it.
