Gorge Scenic Chairlift The Gorge Scenic Chairlift is one of the most iconic experiences in Launceston.

Spanning 457m across the Cataract Gorge, the views of this beautiful location are breathtaking and can be enjoyed by visitors of all ages. - No bookings required, chairs running every 60 seconds.
- Last chair leaves 15 minutes before closing time.
- No age limit. Kids under 8 must ride with an adult and small children are able to ride on an adults lap.
- All tickets available at the Ticket Office.

But we’ve been part of the Tassie team, showing Tassie tourism to the world! 🌏 Over 600 delegates are in Hobart for Meeting Place 2026, the premier tourism showcase from the Australian Tourism Export Council and Tourism Industry Council Tasmania.

It’s been an amazing opportunity to connect with people from across our island and across the globe!
