A busy week for the brigade. Assisting the paramedics yesterday, brigade meeting tonight and a long planned hazard reduction burn scheduled for tomorrow with the perfect weather conditions forecast.

Although we’ve seen some rain in recent days, conditions remain dry, particularly in the western parts of the state. Firefighters have been kept busy responding to a number of fires, several of which were caused by escaped burns.

While the Bush Fire Danger Period is no longer in place for all LGAs across NSW, we urge residents and land managers to check conditions before lighting a burn and remember that you are required to notify the RFS and your neighbours at least 24 hours before burning.
