To all the incredible volunteers from NSW RFS, VRA and SES we simply can’t thank you enough.

You gave your time, your energy and your skills, often for long hours and away from your own families to help during the recent search.

Whether you were out on the ground, coordinating, searching, supporting, driving, providing welfare or simply being there when needed — every single contribution mattered.

Your dedication, compassion and willingness to help others is what makes our emergency services community so special.

📣 LOCAL SHOUT-OUT — RRT ❤️

A huge thank you to Rapid Relief Team AU for looking after our volunteers with catering over several days during the recent search.

They provided nourishing, hearty food to keep everyone going, along with friendly service and a genuine willingness to help. Nothing was ever too much trouble and their support was so appreciated by everyone involved.

Thank you RRT for supporting our volunteers when they needed it most. ❤️

📣 LOCAL SHOUT-OUT — MERCURE ALBURY ❤️

A huge thank you to Mercure Albury for supporting our volunteers during the recent search for a missing person.

Mercure Albury generously provided accommodation for some VRA members travelling from out of town, as well as having their chef prepare sandwiches and muffins to help with catering during the first few days of the search.

And let us tell you… they were absolutely delicious! 😋
It was such a generous gesture and very much appreciated by everyone who was out there working long hours.

We’re incredibly grateful for the way our local businesses step up and support our emergency services when our community needs them. It’s this kind of community support that makes such a difference.

Youths aged 14 - 18

Monday nights | 6:00pm – 8:00pm
Starting 4 May 2026
🚒 What to expect:
Hands-on firefighting skills (based on FF1 & FF2)
Weekly structured training
Visits to other local brigades & emergency services. Station tours, trucks, equipment, life skills, teamwork development & more.
🌧️ Wet weather? No worries!
We’ll run indoor sessions - theory and interactive learning.

This is a great opportunity for young people to build skills, confidence and be part of something bigger 🚒

Good Friday Appeal collecting starts at 8am tomorrow

'Truck Tracker' is being used by Thurgoona Rural Fire Brigade this year, so we thought we'd jump on board and give it a go. We will have 9 Vehicles out collecting with our fellow fire fighters from Splitters Creek Rural Fire Brigade & Jindera rural fire brigade joining us again this year.

Tracking will go live at 8am.
You will be able to see where our vehicles to make it easier to come out and donate to this worthy cause.
