The Willetton Rotary Artisan Market, featuring a free children’s bouncy castle is ready to open on this beautiful cool Sunday morning. Come down to Agincourt Reserve, adjacent to the Burrendah Boulevard Shopping Centre to enjoy some casual artisan clothing and food shopping and food and coffee stalls. There is also some pleasant busking music. The market is open between 9.00am and 1.00pm on Sunday 8 March 2026.

During January 2026, the National Youth Science Forum (NYSF) was conducted at the Australian National University in Canberra and the University of Queensland in Brisbane, as a residential program over eight days. The the club’s two sponsored Year 12 students from Willetton Senior High School, Tom Regan and Natasha Tajanovski attended program at the ANU. The students, seen here at the Government House reception with President Simon Cubitt prior to the National Youth Science Forum (NYSF) program and whilst attending program, recently reported to the club’s members, very favourably about their experiences at the program, that included specialist STEM lectures and debates, field and laboratory activities and receiving valuable information about their tertiary study and career options and not to forget, making many friendships among students who attended the program from around Australia. The club wishes Tom and Natasha, who are now fully engaged in their year 12 studies, all the very best in their academic pursuits in 2026.

The club's members were pleased to learn recently, that the two students it sponsored to attend the January 2025 National Youth Science Forum (NYSF), Aayan Abid and Aliza Rivizi, achieved Certificates of Distinction in the 2025 ATAR results announed at the end of the year and in so doing, became members of the Willetton Senior High School "99 club". Aayan and Aliza are seen here with President Simon. attending the Government House reception for students, prior to going to the National Youth Science Forum (NYSF).

Willetton Rotary Artisan Market starting to “gather pace” on a beautiful Sunday morning

The club is providing scholarships to two Year 11 students from Willetton Senior High School, Tom and Natasha, to attend in January 2026, the National Youth Science Forum. Tom and Natasha are seen here with President Simon Cubitt, attending the recent reception at Government House for the students from Western Australia, selected to attend the forum. The students enjoyed a pleasant afternoon tea with the Governor.

Today, the club delivered to Homeless Healthcare, its annual contribution of 100 toiletry bags with essential toiletries inside them, made individually and lovingly by the Bunbury based sewing group, “Sewing With Love”. President Simon Cubitt is seen here with staff members of the charity, who received the toiletry bags, which will be distributed to homeless persons, just in time for the Christmas/New Year period.
