Grandparents Day 2026

What a wonderful morning it has been to honour the wonderful Grandparents and special people we hold close to us in our lives! Our students loved doing special activities with their visitors and then had a special morning tea altogether. It was been a lovely day! Special thank you to our Lithgow Public School P&C Association for organizing tea & coffee for our visitors and selling scones!

Stage 2 Fortnightly Assembly

This morning Stage 2 held our fortnightly award assembly to recognize our amazing Safe, Respectful, Responsible Learners! We also handed out some awards from Aunty Kim from the Wiradjuri Culture Festival on Tuesday and awards for 100% attendance in Term 3! We finished off with a gotcha draw.

Stage 2 and the Thousand Paper Cranes

Today we got together to read the final chapter of Sadako and the Thousand Paper Cranes as part of our literacy unit this term. Our students have been full of reflection with Sadako’s story and wanted to see if they could also fulfill Sadako’s wish of folding 1000 paper cranes. Did we get the 1000? Maybe not, but folding paper cranes is trickier than they realized and made us all really appreciate the effort Sadako went to! We are proud of how hard our students tried and their reflections on Sadako’s life.
