Members from Loch and District Fire Brigade were pleased to receive a letter today, confirming our successful grant to purchase a purpose built rescue support.

The purpose built vehicle will replace our existing rescue support and enhance our ability to carry our ever increasing cache of specialist rescue equipment.

This vehicle will deploy alongside our new road rescue truck, delivered to the brigade from CFA over 12 months ago.

Train for the fight.
Tonight Loch CFA Fire and Rescue members were faced with a training scenario involving a simulated high speed head on into a bus with a rear impact from a truck.

Patient was certainly stuck and the exercise was run like a real job.

With constant pressure applied and random plan changes thrown in.

All in a great night of skills maintenance for all our members.

Thanks to South Gippsland Septic Tank Cleaning for arranging the machinery to squish our car down like real.

Once again, your CFA brigades working as one. Thanks to all the brigades that supported us in the variety if roles.

Another update from Daniel Bourkes Journey.

Just over 8 weeks ago, Loch CFA Fire and Rescue alongside Korumburra Fire Brigade, Ambulance Victoria and Victoria Police extricated Daniel when he was involved in a collision with another vehicle at Bena.

This year to date Loch CFA has responded to in excess of 25 calls to Road Crash Rescue events. Its inspirational and rewarding to our members to be able to follow the recovery pathway of one of our patients.

Well done Daniel and we look forward to maybe meeting you face to face in better circumstances than our first meet.
