It was fantastic to see members of our community taking the time to learn, ask questions, have a chat with our crews and most importantly, take steps to Get Ready for the fire season. 🔥

It’s on! Get Ready Weekend starts today.
Meet your local RFS brigade at our station in Henry St Long Flat from 10am.
Preparing your property and having a plan can make all the difference!
Drop in, have a chat with your local firefighters and make sure you and your family are ready for the bush fire season ahead or ask us any questions you may have.
Free gutter cleaning gloves for the first 50 visitors!

Burning embers can ignite any build up of flammable
material around the home.
Keeping your gutters clear is essential for reducing your risk. The more you prepare your home, the more likely it will survive a bush fire or ember attack, even if you leave early.
Thanks to NRMA, we’ll be giving away free gloves to help you safely clean your gutters this Get Ready Weekend.
Limited to the first 50 visitors, so be sure to drop in early!

at home when the fire starts. Taking some simple steps
to prepare your property and animals can make all the
difference. Call into the station on Saturday the 19th and ask us how you can prepare your property. We will be there from 10am till 2pm

🔥 HIGH Fire Danger Rating – Saturday 5 September

A HIGH Fire Danger Rating is forecast for the Mid Coast District tomorrow.

With warmer and drier conditions, residents are encouraged to remain alert, know what they will do if a fire starts, and closely monitor any recent burns.

Be ready to act and stay up to date with local conditions.
