Mackay Region Chamber 🏆 Celebrate Success

There was plenty of Chamber representation among the winners at the recent 2026 Mackay Isaac Tourism Awards, and we couldn't be happier to see our members recognised!

A huge congratulations to:

👏 Nautical By Nature Mackay
👏 Oh deere farm stay
👏 Harrup Park
👏 Mount Pleasant Centre
👏 Quest Mackay on Gordon

It's fantastic to see the hard work, creativity and commitment of our local businesses celebrated, and a great reminder of just how much our region has to offer.

Congratulations to all the winners and finalists, and well done to Mackay Isaac Tourism on another wonderful celebration of our tourism industry! 💙

We pride ourselves on delivering a decidedly unboring AGM, but we're still blown away when we sell out a room for one!

We love sharing our stories, we're proud of what we've achieved, and we're always looking at what more we can do.

Of course, none of it happens without the incredible, engaged business community we're privileged to call our members, and our friends. You're such a big part of the Chamber's story, and we're grateful to have you along for the ride.

Thank you to everyone who took part in our committee election and had a say in the Chamber's future governance. A special thank you to every candidate who put their hand up, and congratulations to our newly elected committee!

Now, enjoy the photos! 📸

It's Thank Your Cleaner Day! 🧹✨

Our good friends Jason and Haley from Tailored Services Pty Ltd were spreading the word at B2B Brews yesterday, and we even managed to capture Jason's good side! 😂

Tailored Services know a thing or two about the important work cleaners do, and today we're joining them in giving a big shout-out to the people who work behind the scenes to keep our workplaces clean, safe and looking their best.

To the Tailored Services team and cleaners right across the Mackay Region, thank you for everything you do! 💙

The anti-poverty week B2B brews at The Neighbourhood Hub is one of my favourite mornings on the chamber calendar!

I love watching the donations pile up
and knowing that the community pantry is filling up. I love seeing the faces of people who have walked through the gates at 4 George street for the first time, and hearing the sheer numbers in the food diversion program.

Thanks The Neighbourhood Hub for everything you do - love playing a tiny part in it.

Remember, help, volunteers, donations are needed all year round - so get in touch with the team to find out how!!!!

☕ B2B BREWS | TOMORROW!

We're heading to The Neighbourhood Hub tomorrow morning for a special Anti-Poverty Week edition of B2B Brews.

The Hub does some incredible work supporting people across our community, and we're looking forward to spending the morning with the team and learning more about what they do.

If you're coming along, we'd love you to bring a non-perishable food item to contribute to their community pantry. A small gesture that can make a real difference to someone doing it tough.

☕ Tuesday 13 October | 8am
📍 The Neighbourhood Hub, 4 George Street
🥐 Coffee and breakfast provided

Come for the coffee, stay for the conversations. And bring something for the pantry if you can! 💙

🎉 MEET YOUR NEW CHAMBER COMMITTEE!

Following a fantastic turnout at last week's AGM, we're pleased to introduce the nine members elected to the Mackay Region Chamber of Commerce Committee!

Congratulations to our new and returning committee members, and a big thank you to everyone who put their hand up for election.

We're looking forward to working with this team as we continue to represent and advocate for Mackay Region businesses.

And to everyone who joined us at the AGM, thank you for being part of the process. It's great to see our business community so invested in the Chamber's future.

The AGM also saw members vote in favour of the special resolution to transition the Chamber from an incorporated association to a company limited by guarantee. It's an important step in modernising our governance and setting the Chamber up for the future.
