A little change of scenery 🌿

We’re camping in Nambucca at the moment and it’s reminded me how much I love sharing our travels,whether it’s halfway around the world or just a few hours from home.

I realised I never actually finished sharing our Japan trip either. 🙈 I have SO many photos, videos, food finds, funny moments and things we learnt sitting in my camera roll.

So rather than leaving them there forever, I’m going to start sharing them, along with our little adventures closer to home.

Japan throwbacks + real life + family travel incoming. ✈️🚐🤍

And yes…there will be food. Always food. 😂

Nagoya, you’ve been amazing! 🇯🇵❤️

Today we’re saying goodbye and heading off to our next adventure at Fuji Lake Hotel, with Mt Fuji views waiting for us.

Over the past few days we’ve watched an incredible sumo training session, explored the Toyota Museum, wandered through the lively streets of Osu, checked out Oasis 21, eaten some absolutely delicious food, and somehow even made it through the teenage moods as well! 🍜🍣🥟

Every stop on this trip has given us an even bigger appreciation for Japan’s culture, hospitality, and all the amazing experiences here. We can’t wait to see what the next chapter brings.

Next stop… Mt Fuji! 🗻✨

For someone who is always planning the next trip, this was a good reminder…

You don’t always have to go somewhere to feel like you’ve escaped.

Last night it was just a sunset over the river, a drink with my husband and a quiet moment on the deck.

Nothing fancy.
Nothing planned.

Just one of those little reminders that a beautiful life isn’t only found in the big adventures. Sometimes the simple moments at home fill your cup just as much as any holiday 🤍🌅

As much as I love travelling, I’m learning not to wait for the next getaway to slow down and appreciate what’s right in front of me.

These little moments matter too.

Sometimes the budget says “stay home”… so we make home feel like a holiday instead.

Not every trip has to be a big family holiday ✨

Sometimes, the best kind of reset is a weekend away with a good friend — slowing down, reconnecting, recharging… and of course indulging in way too much cheese and w**e 🧀🍷

Spent the weekend soaking up all the deliciousness at a cheese & w**e festival, and honestly… it was exactly what the soul needed 💛

Because while family adventures will always have my heart, making time for friendships matters too.
