SKILLS MAINTENANCE DRILLS:
last night, we held our first session of 'burnover drills'.
Nicknamed 'the burnover drill' is a skills maintenance drill that that is manditory to complete annually by all firefighters to hone their skills in surviving a burnover situation when the crew/appliance is overrun by fire. Crews train in retreating to the appliance, activating the 'halo' cabin deluge system, pulling down the heat resistant curtains and transmitting a mayday call.
So if you happen to hear sirens or see blue and red lights on a Monday training night, you now know what we are upto.

A huge thank you to the Mallala Motorsport Park for their generous donation of Milwaukee blowers to our CFS brigade.

We greatly appreciate the ongoing support while our volunteers assisted with car parking during your recent events. Community partnerships like this make a real difference and help our brigade continue supporting the local area

Thanks again— we’re proud to work alongside local organisations that value and support volunteers! 🚒👏

A huge thank you to Glen and the team at Police Credit Union for their generous donation of a new coffee machine to our CFS Brigade.

This donation was made as part of their ongoing sponsorship to the CFS Foundation. Their continued commitment to supporting CFS volunteers right across the state is greatly appreciated.

Gestures like this help keep our members fuelled and ready — whether it’s for training nights, callouts or for the busy Fire Season.

We truly value the support shown to emergency services volunteers and the recognition of the work our brigade does within the community. 👏

Thank you again for your generosity

We would like to congratulate firefighter Andrew Francis on his 10 year membership with CFS. Starting as a cadet at 12 years old and serving multiple brigades such as Coober Pedy and Dalkeith prior to Mallala.

Thankyou for your service
