Humanity has left the building…or Australia it seems, when it comes to victims and their families 💔
🚨🚨🚨 BIDDY SHOULD HAVE BEEN CELEBRATING HER 17TH BIRTHDAY. 🚨🚨🚨
Instead, two days after that birthday, I had to contact Specialist Victims Support myself to find out when the next hearing about her killer would be.
No family should have to chase information about decisions this important.
Despite my repeated requests for these matters not to be dealt with during Biddy’s birthday week, I have now been told the next Mental Health Review Tribunal hearing will be held on 3 December.
At that hearing, an application will be considered to move the person who brutally murdered and mutilated Biddy to a medium-security facility at Blacktown.
She has been diagnosed in the 70th percentile for psychopathy.
Biddy was just **10** years old. 💛
It has been just over six years since she was brutally murdered and mutilated. How can six years ever be weighed against the entire life Biddy was denied—and the rest of our lives spent without her?
For our family, those years have meant birthdays, Christmases and everyday moments she should have been here for. Her absence is forever.
Every Australian should be outraged that a grieving family has to chase information about decisions this significant—and deeply concerned about what approving this transfer would mean. 🤬
The application has not yet been decided. That is exactly why our family deserves to be informed and heard BEFORE a decision is made—not left fighting for updates.
We cannot bring Biddy back. But we can demand that her life is never forgotten and that her family is treated with dignity.
We should not have to chase updates.
We should not have to fight to be heard.
And Biddy must never become an afterthought.
