31 Circle Stories - Street Library

My kids aren’t collecting the Coles and Woolworths thingos.
So I’m still getting them
And popping them in the street library, so please come and help yourself.

Our little library has seen better days. She is falling apart, a door ripped off in the storm. Sadly she is beyond repair but I have sourced some new cabinets to repurpose that I’m picking up tomorrow.

If anyone would like to help out please reach out.
Things that need to be done. I’d LOVE some help please???
I’m happy to try and do this myself if no one wants to help but it will take me a month or so as I need to work around a back injury and a tornado toddler.

• Cabinets sanded and small feet added to stop water pooling underneath. This is the hardest part for me and would love someone to do this part PLEASE?
• Glass replaced with Perspex, hoping to be able to use the current Perspex.
• Painted inside and out to protect from weather and to brighten it up.
• Timber added to top and back to secure together and also to create fall for an oversized roof to help protect the cabinet and books.
• Weather seal added on doors and drawers.

We have damaged doors, please be careful until I can work out what to do to fix this issue.
Still plenty of good reads for you to take home and enjoy.

The storm just blew our library over smashing it up a little. Until I can work out how to repair it, make it more sturdy and water tight, it will be almost empty. I have removed all apart from one shelf of books.
Thank you to my lovely elderly neighbour who brought her big girl muscles to help me lift it back up.

We have plenty of adult books at the moment so come and grab a book or two to read.
If you or anyone you know has some childrens or teen books or novels in good condition please consider donating to our community street library as the kids books are in high demand.
Lots of Woolworths bricks if anyone would like them please feel free to take a few or them all if you can use them.
