🚀 𝗡𝗲𝘅𝘁-𝗚𝗲𝗻 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗟𝗮𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗵 𝗶𝗻 𝗔𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗮𝗶𝗱𝗲 ⚡

As part of our commitment to building strong, open, and transparent relationships with key stakeholders, we were delighted to host an internal soft launch for our Adelaide-based project at the InterContinental Hotel in Adelaide on 3rd April.

Approximately 25 guests from South Australian businesses and universities, along with interstate and international attendees, joined the event. Our CEO, Andrew Cooper, presented an update on the project, and key stakeholders had the opportunity to share their stories about how they are contributing to the Next-Gen Energy Technology journey.

Organisations represented included Siemens, APS Industrial, Hydra Consulting, BE-Engineering, Chapman Capital Partners, Cowell Clarke Lawyers, the University of Adelaide, the University of South Australia, Intercultural Tailored Solutions, M2i Global, Pelligra Property Group, the Government of South Australia, and Regional Development Australia (SA).

Stakeholders were able to experience interactive VR-rendered views of the factory, developed by Adelaide-based company BE-Engineering. This event marks an exciting step forward for the project, and we are thrilled to witness the high level of collaboration among stakeholders in the room.

We are deeply grateful to all who attended and have committed to supporting the world’s first Lithium NCA Cathode Materials Plant, to be established at the former Holden manufacturing site in South Australia.

Our CEO, Andrew Cooper, was honoured to meet Mr Peter Koerte, Member of the Siemens Management Board, Chief Technology Officer and Chief Strategy Officer, during his visit from Germany.

Andrew had the opportunity to share insights into our flagship project — the establishment of Next Gen Energy Technology’s manufacturing facility at the former General Motors Holden site in Adelaide.

A special thank you to Mr Peter Halliday, Chief Executive Officer of Siemens Australia and New Zealand, for the warm hospitality and for hosting us in true German style at the Melbourne BMW Showroom in South Melbourne.

We’re proud to share that our CEO, Andrew Cooper, was invited by the Commonwealth Department of Industry, Science and Resources to join with Industry, Universities and both State and Federal Governments for a roundtable discussion on 30 January, contributing to the Strategic Examination of Australia’s R&D System.

This initiative is a crucial step in strengthening Australia’s research and innovation ecosystem, ensuring it plays a key role in achieving net-zero goals, advancing critical technologies, and enhancing sovereign capabilities.

At Next-Gen, innovation is at the heart of everything we do, and our proprietary NCA technology is setting a new benchmark for battery performance:

- By extending battery lifespans by an impressive 3 to 4 times, we offer unparalleled durability, significantly reducing the need for frequent replacements.

- This innovation increases the life expectancy of batteries to 30–40 years, making the management of battery storage assets far more cost-effective and sustainable.

- And, with charging speeds up to 70% faster, our technology addresses one of the biggest challenges in battery usage — reducing downtime and keeping users powered up when it matters most

- Up to 50% reduction in battery size requirements, enabling more compact, lightweight, and space-efficient designs while reducing material usage and overall costs.

Next-Gen Energy Technology is please to announce the signing of an offtake agreement with US based M2i for lithium NCA cathode materials to be manufactured at the South Australian factory.
Australia is the only country in the world outside of China with capabilities and patented technology to produce lithium NCA materials. By signing this agreement Next-Gen will create approximately 130 local jobs in this high-tech industry.
