Different builds. Different systems. One R.A. Bell team.
A quick look at some of the fabrication, testing and emergency vehicles moving through our Victorian and Queensland workshops.
From sparks flying in fabrication, through to finished trucks ready for service, this is the part of the build most people do not get to see.
Across both sites, the focus stays the same. Practical engineering, careful fitout and vehicles built for the crews who

A lot happens inside the workshop before a vehicle ever hits the road.
From emergency service builds through to hydro excavation units, multiple projects can be moving through different stages at the same time. Fabrication, electrical, plumbing, fit out, testing and final delivery.
Every section of the workshop plays a role in getting these vehicles ready for the field.

This Cat 6 tanker is now in service with NSW RFS, built for regional operations where water capacity, reliability, and access all matter.
Bushfire response is never one size fits all. Different terrain and different brigades all have different needs.
For the firies out there, what is one thing people would be surprised to learn about trucks like this?

Before anything gets built, it gets tested here first.
Every truck starts as a full CAD model.
We map out space, equipment, access, and how everything actually works together.
It means fewer surprises on the floor.
And a build that works the way it is meant to.
Most people never see this part. But it is one of the most important.

Before any truck goes out, it comes through here.
Full pump test. Water in, water out, back through the system.
We are checking flow, pressure, and how everything actually performs. Not just on paper.
If it does not work here, it does not leave.
