Wonderland Has Changed...๐Ÿชž๐ŸŽญโ™ฅ๏ธ

What happens when Wonderland turns upside down?๐Ÿ‡โœจ

Our talented Year 10 Theatre Studies students invite you into a world of magic, madness and mayhem with Alice, Through the Looking Glass, an imaginative adaptation inspired by Lewis Carrollโ€™s classic tale.๐ŸŽฉโ™ฆ

Now older and living in conservative Victorian England, Alice faces an impossible choice: marry a suitor she despises or risk being sent to an asylum!๐Ÿ˜ฑ๐Ÿ’

But when she returns to Wonderland through the looking glass, she discovers a world where the Red Court reigns supreme and people and creatures are disappearing without a trace!โ™ ๐Ÿƒ

Can Alice help the resistance overthrow the Kingdom and restore Wonderland to its wonderfully topsy-turvy glory?โš”๏ธ๐ŸŒ€

Bring the family and support our talented Year 10 performers as they bring this fantastical adventure to life for just two showsโฃโ™ฃ

Dates: Monday 9 and Tuesday 10 November๐Ÿ“†

Time: 6.30pm - 8pm๐ŸŒ™

Chess Success!๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ™Œ๏ธ

"On Monday, our school chess team attended the Victorian chess state finals at Brighton Grammar School. This was the culmination of the hard effort at different tournaments throughout the year by many students, but on this day, the top boards of were represented by Aeson Ha, Dave Nguyen, Titan Pham, Han Li, and Hamish Fraser. Our students conducted themselves fiercely across seven rounds, winning four as a team and finishing in an admirable 13th place in the state โ€“ well ahead of our initial seeding.
Additional congratulations go out to Titan Pham, who won a medal for the best Board 3 player with 6 wins out of 7 matches๐Ÿฅ‡, as well as to Aeson Ha, who defeated the top seeded player of the tournament in his final match.๐Ÿฅ‡
Given the relative young age of our team compared to the other schools, our school has an even brighter future ahead!" - Mr Lee, Chess Coordinator ๐Ÿ’ซ

From Kyoto to Soja: Japan Study Tour 2026๐ŸŽŒ๐ŸŒธ๐Ÿ—พ

Over the Term 3 holidays, students embarked on an unforgettable Study Tour to Japan, immersing themselves in the countryโ€™s rich culture, traditions, history and cuisine. From exploring Kyotoโ€™s beautiful temples and Hiroshimaโ€™s museums to discovering the breathtaking island of Miyajima, every experience offered new insights and lasting memories.๐Ÿฏโœจ๐Ÿ‘น๐Ÿฅ

A highlight was visiting our sister school, Soja Nishi Junior High, where students were welcomed with genuine warmth and generous hospitality. Time spent with their Japanese buddies and host families provided meaningful cultural connections and treasured experiences, including witnessing a traditional Kagura dance performance!๐ŸŽŽ๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿฑ

As Yr.9 student, Naia reflected, โ€œThe friends I made and the beautiful places I visited will not be forgotten.โ€ ๐Ÿซถ
Yr.11 student, Angus also described the tour as an โ€œinteresting and insightful experienceโ€, highlighting the friendships, cultural encounters and remarkable sights made the journey so special. Thank you to Naia and Angus for sharing some of their beautiful photos - more can be seen on our school page.๐Ÿ“ธโ›ฉ๐Ÿฏ

A heartfelt thank you to the staff and students at Soja Nishi Junior High, the generous host families, our staff Ms Tilley, Principal Mr Moffat and of course Japanese teacher, Mr Cerini for organising and staffing this impactful and enjoyable trip. Our students returned with memories that will last a lifetime, new friendships that transcend borders, improved language skills, and a deeper appreciation of Japanese history and culture.๏ธ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ‘˜๐Ÿ—ป๐Ÿ‡ฏ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‘บ

A Night to Celebrate๐ŸŒŸ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿฅน

Our Year 12 Vocational Major students took centre stage at their Showcase tonight, sharing their excellent work from across all subjects and delivering heartfelt speeches in front of family, friends and staff.๐ŸŽค๐Ÿ’›โœจ

From their Community Projects to Literacy & Numeracy, Work Related Skills and Personal Development Skills, and the practical skills gained through VET studies in areas including beauty, electrotechnology, plumbing, hospitality, and more, our students demonstrated just how much theyโ€™ve learned, grown and achieved over the past two years. The soon-to-be-Yr.12 Graduates spoke with confidence, maturity and clarity, and should be incredibly proud of the their individual and collective presentation.๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ‘ท๐Ÿผโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿ”Œ๐Ÿ’…๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿ”ง๐Ÿฒ๐Ÿ—๏ธ๐ŸŽ‰

It was particularly lovely to hear students acknowledge and thank the teachers who have supported them throughout their journey, especially Mrs Rosemary Carter, our VM Coordinator.๐Ÿ’โค๏ธ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿผ

The evening was made extra special with the spread of delicious food, beautiful flower posies that the students picked from our school gardens, and each received a thoughtful gift and certificate to mark the end of their secondary education.๐Ÿชป๐ŸŒธ๐ŸŽ

Congratulations, students! You did a stellar job, and we wish you every success as you take your next steps beyond school.๐Ÿš€๐ŸŽ“๐Ÿ’›

A heartfelt thank you to Rosemary Carter, Sam Gleeson, Carl-Oskar B**r, Dan Norton and our incredibly helpful and encouraging support staff for contributing to these wonderful studentsโ€™ journey and their completion of VCE VM certificate.โœจ๐Ÿ”‘๐Ÿ’ซ
