For those of you who may not be aware, I am having a long break from my work as I am soon to be a Mum to triplet girls, yes that's right, 3 identical triplets, conceived naturally and soon to be delivered. I'm currently at 31 weeks and hoping to progress further if possible, so there's going to be be alot going on in my life for some time yet.
My work and public speaking engagements are on hold indefinately while I adjust to my new Mumma life.
I feel extremely fortunate to have had a really great pregnancy with no illness at all and now though things are becoming uncomfortable so I am officially on leave and hope to return to work sometime next year, part-time and perhaps here in Tasmania, time will tell.
Thank you to those who have supported my page and the work which has been very dear to me. I am privileged and feel honoured to have shared time with so many awesome people and work with outstanding professionals.
I really feel that I have learnt so much from every person I have supported and am grateful for that.
For now I will not utilise this page and perhaps next year I may find time to engage again.
Maybe I might start a page as a Mum's journey of triplet girls, and incorporate my work down the track. Right now it's all about ensuring I birth 3 healthy babies and give myself the time I need.
Here's a few pics of my progress...

A friend of mine shared a story on my personal Insta page to my personal FB page.
I felt it was relevant to share this, which describes my opinions at length seeing as the deaths from domestic related violence or relationship deaths of women are astounding and heart breaking in Australia. One death is one too many.

My life is consumed with life ð
Does that make sense ð ðĪ
Since moving to the South of Tasmania and settling in, it's been major busy with work, PhD studies, having a love life with my gorg partner ð ð ð being a fur dog Mumma (yes Luna is now back with me thank goodness ð ðķ), and fitting in self care time. I'm finding a routine moreso now and pretty stoked with my achievements this year.
Also enjoyed a trip back to the North West to visit family and have a night out at an event with my Mum, Caz.... a ladies night hosted by Zonta International Devonport & Dress for Success Hobart. Total hoot!
Definately a reminder that we all need to pat ourselves on the back!
I hope you're all giving yourselves credit for the things you get through day by day, big or small or whatever it is.
It's not easy to find strength at the best of times when life is biting hard. So make time for YOU in amongst it all. You deserve to have joy, please remember that!!

Summer feels all the way.....love being by the Rubicon river and North West coastline. Some of the best beaches in Tassie to enjoy!
My holidays will be over soon although I have been doing a bit of work along the way.
I'm excited to share what's been happening with my PhD Studies - YEM Your Experiences Matter ð soon. Really getting into the nitty gritty of it now.
Have a big year ahead ð

Aarrrhhh the great Chrissy break hey ð
Beach time, kyaking on the river which is close to where I live, mountain climbing, relaxing and defs eating too much. All part of family time and festivities in Tassie. I feel very fortunate to have so much love around me.
Getting through Christmas and the whole new year stuff is challenging and lonely for many people and I see this within the realm of my work. It actually motivates me to keep doing what I do to assist those who need my support. We have to break down barriers so people with disabilities and lived experiences of trauma have a quality life that centres around equity, inclusive community and ability driven focus.
Easier said than done however we cannot give up. Every person has a right to feel that they belong to themselves, a place and community and have a purposeful life.
The year ahead for me will be a real cracker and once I'm done with my holiday time (I am still working though) there will be serious time processing my PhD studies.
My focus with work has not changed and my case load is fairly full. It's all systems go and that will be the vibe this year!!
So I hope that there's a whole lot of happy in 2024 for you all and again I appreciate us hanging out on this page as I navigate doing what I do ð
BRING ON WHATEVER COMES OUR WAY!!

YA ð Wanted to say a massive thank you to everyone who has supported my journey this year in work, studies and friendship and to those following my page.
What a year it's been too ð
I've lost count of how many times I travelled from Panatana country lutruwita Tasmania to Naarm Melbourne....I have the best, most awesome friends who have given me a bed or couch while I work, study and do speaking gigs. My loving parents have supported me ðŊ and looked after Luna, providing stability during frantic schedules and my very cool bro has been present to listen to my blaaa blaaa and travel the world with me too ð great memories made ð My youngest bro gives me all the good feels every time we share space and I adore him to bits.
My University Supervisors have provided such amazing support all the way and I can't thank them enough. Combined powerful brains can achieve a great deal and this year the deal has been gigantic!
Saxton Speakers have given me an opportunity to tell my story and to help others on a broader national and global platform, such great people ð and an amazing experience for me personally and professionally.
The work I do can be challenging at times however those people have my respect and I am proud of each and every one of them for letting me into their lives even though that isn't easy at times and entrusting the process of support.
Very soon like many of us I will be enjoying some down time and kicking back within this festive period. I hope that others can find comfort, hope, warmth and gratitude. It's not a happy time for many, so it's important to reach out to others and share joy.
Again, I am so grateful for the year that's been and wish you all an abundance of love, now and into the new year ðĪ âĨ

GEES what a week!!! I'm feeling the pinch right now ð
Two cancelled flights, five trips up the Bass Highway, trying to get a PhD presentation finished for this afternoon and I'm hitting the airport again ðĪŠ with hope that I can actually get to Melbs in time to do what I gotta do!
In amongst all this our old family cat passed on and Luna is totally confused. Thank goodness for my Mum who manages to glue us and herself together. Onya Caz ðĪ
Bring on the weekend I reckon!
Anyone else feeling it today?

Last month I travelled to the Northern Territory for work and as part of my PhD research. While there I presented to YWCA NT via Saxton Speakers, which was a blast. Always love sharing what I'm about with a wide audience ð and the positive feedback was great, so huge thanks to YWCA for allowing me to be part of your event.
Of course I enjoyed some down time too with a beautiful soul sista and dear friend, plus explored some exquisite places and a swim, cause the temperature is pretty warm up there ððĨ

2023 has been a busy time with travelling for my PhD studies, working, doing speaking gigs, training and having a life! Hard to believe this year is nearly over, how did that happen ðĪŠ ð
Finally managed to jump on this page and do a bit of an update, along with wanting to say a massive thanks to everyone who has supported me this year ð cause it's certainly been an interesting, challenging and amazing one! You know who you are and you're all bloody awesome ð
Working between Victoria and Tasmania, then travelling around this nation and overseas has been incredible....so many cool memories and brain expanding moments for sure.
Next year will be another huge year and I feel very privileged to do what I love, it's truly an honour. There's so many people that I work with who are fantastic humans and together we achieve diverse, positive daily outcomes and as I look back reflecting I feel proud of us.
It really does take a village and this one is pretty special.
