Interesting latest interview with zoologist and thylacine researcher Jack Ashby discussing the Tasmanian Tiger. Ashby openly states he doubts the thylacine still survives today despite the fact he’s based in the UK and far removed from Australia’s wilderness and the many eyewitness reports that continue to emerge from Australia.

Scepticism is part of science, of course. But for many Australians who know these remote environments firsthand, the story still feels unfinished.

The thylacine has surprised people before. Maybe one day it will again.
