Bulleen Park’s transformation is continuing to climb the ladder towards completion 🏉👏
The two brand new pavilions are now rising into the air, while work has now also started to upgrade all three ovals.
This huge investment in the local community will help the North East Link project leave a lasting legacy for Bulleen residents and local sporting clubs for generations to come.

Breakthrough pics hit different 🔥
Here's our top shots of TBM Zelda recently breaking through in Bulleen.
She's the first of two massive TBMs helping dig the 6.5km North East Link tunnels – bringing us one step closer to delivering the twin tunnels that fix the missing link in Melbourne’s freeway network and connect the M80 Ring Road to the Eastern Freeway.

Close up at Kempston 🔎
You saw the timelapse of Kempston Street bridge coming down - now here are some aerial drone highlights capturing the demolition from above.
There’s no time to rest though, with crews now building foundations and retaining walls for the new Kempston Street bridge, as well as upgrading utilities and adding smart tech to the area.
🚧 As part of these works Kempston Street will be closed in both directions from late April until early June. To find out more check out this link: https://bit.ly/3AwBXQS
BREAKTHROUGH NEWS! 🗞️
Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) Zelda has broken through in Bulleen, completing its journey from Watsonia and North East Link’s northbound tunnel.
While making the journey from Watsonia, TBM Zelda has been installing more than 20,000 concrete tunnel segments made locally in Benalla.
This is all part of fixing the missing link in Melbourne’s freeway network, as we deliver the tunnel that connects the M80 Ring Road to the Eastern Freeway.
Switching it up on Greensborough Highway 🔀
From early-June, the way you travel along Greensborough Highway will change.
We're separating the lanes to create room to build the new Elder Street landscaped bridge and express lanes to the North East Link tunnels.

Seen this driving around our M80 Ring Road completion sites? 🚛
This custom truck from Ironside Resources is a rolling tribute to the men and women who have served in the Australian Defence Force.
We’re working Ironside Resources to support veterans, helping them move from the military into civilian careers through hands-on roles on North East Link.

Take a peek at new Eastern Freeway works 🌿👀
You might have noticed works picking up down the city end of the Eastern Freeway as crews continue setting up works sites.
You’ll also start to see piling works to build the foundations of gantry signs and traffic barriers, with rigs rolling out in the centre median in the past week.
Next to the freeway, cabling work is underway to support smart technology for safer journeys along the freeway.

From 10pm, Friday 15 May to 5am, Monday 18 May, the Eastern Freeway is closed between Bulleen and Tram roads, as well as some freeway ramp closures to help spread traffic and ease congestion.
