Proud to be playing a vital part in creating more equitable leadership, and even prouder of Spectrum's amazing RISE women!

We're thrilled to announce more organisations have commited to breaking barriers for CARM Women. ✨

An additional six major Australian organisations will participate in RISE, a groundbreaking program initiated by DCA, SSI - Settlement Services International and Chief Executive Women.

The RISE project (Realise. Inspire. Support. Energise.) is designed to help break down systemic barriers for culturally and racially marginalised (CARM) women in the workplace.

Woolworths Group, Deloitte, Spectrum Migrant Resource Centre, University of Sydney, Crown Resorts and The ANU College of Engineering, Computing & Cybernetics, are among the new lineup of organisations that will be involved in the first phase of the project, which will see them work through a 12-month action plan including assessments and training on racial literacy, anti-racism and cultural responsiveness.

“DCA commends these organisations for their involvement in the RISE project,” says DCA CEO Lisa Annese.

“By taking the lead, they not only elevate their own standards, but also illuminate a pathway for broader organisational learning in dismantling systemic barriers, paving the way for a more inclusive and equitable leadership landscape across Australia." 👏

“A million reasons to care”
Last Friday 21st October 2022, we celebrated the 30th anniversary of National Carers week.
As Spectrum has serviced over 200 Carers in our community over the past 12 months through the Support for Carers Program, we decided to celebrate and recognise Carers in our Community and add some joy to their purposeful lives.
Along with Spectrum’s partners, Bunnings, Venue, Carers, and with the great efforts of our internal programs / staff we planned a day where people came and had fun and enjoyed art activities, music, dance, food and much more and had the chance to celebrate those in a caring role.
As part of our continuous efforts to serve the community and celebrate the journey of our community and our staff members to an inclusive and diverse society, we remain committed in our hearts as well as our practices to empower, connect and advocate for them.
