Fishermans Bend is Australia’s largest urban renewal project covering approximately 480 hectares in the heart of the world’s most liveable city - Melbourne. It will consist of five precincts that is across two municipalities – the City of Melbourne and the City of Port Phillip and connects Melbourne’s CBD to the bay. Road safety works have commenced around Narrarrang Primary School.

These upgrades are funded by the Fishermans Bend Urban Renewal Area Development Contribution Plan to help deliver on the vision for the Fishermans Bend Precinct as a thriving place that is a leading example for environmental sustainability, liveability, connectivity, diversity and innovation.

FB IDEAs presents: Circular Design Collective Open Day

As part of National Recycling Week, FB IDEAs is hosting a Circular Design Collective Open Day—a showcase of sustainable innovation and creative reuse in the heart of Fishermans Bend.

🕛 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM

📍 Munro Street, South Melbourne (opposite #80)

This free public event highlights the work of local circular economy leaders who are transforming waste into valuable resources.

The Fishermans Bend Development Contribution Plan will provide investment certainty about prioritisation, coordination, funding and delivery of $2.7B of essential urban renewal infrastructure to support current and future housing and job growth in Fishermans Bend.
Priority infrastructure is already progressing including critical road safety upgrades near the new schools, and new open space in Montague and Sandridge.

Fishermans Bend Circular Design Collective launched!

The launch of the Fishermans Bend Circular Design Collective, led by FB IDEAs, saw a group of small businesses and startups showcase their work to a room of passionate supporters, partners and collaborators.

In partnership with Gamuda Land Australia, FB IDEAS have transformed an empty warehouse into a thriving creative hub, the innovators in residence are working to develop innovative approaches to environmental sustainability, liveability, connectivity, and diversity.
