Last Friday was World Teachers' Day, and what better way to celebrate than by recognising the incredible impact of our teachers and celebrating the achievements reflected in our School Performance Report! 💙

A School Performance Report provides an important snapshot of how a school is performing across key areas, including student learning outcomes, academic growth, engagement and wellbeing. It helps us understand the progress our students are making and recognises the impact of the teaching and learning taking place every day.

We are incredibly proud to announce that Forest Hill College has been awarded a “HIGH” categorisation in 2026, it doesn’t get any better than that!

The Forest Hill College Maths Olympiad students recently gathered to celebrate the completion of the 2026 Maths Olympiad program.

We celebrated the growth of our Year 8 students, who have participated in the program over the past two years. Students proudly held numbered balloons displaying the number of challenging problems they successfully solved this year, compared with last year, highlighting their perseverance and improvement. Continuing a cherished tradition, each student also received a smiling-face fruit plate prepared on-site by the Maths Chef, Mr Chen.

Students aim to reach the pinnacle of mathematical achievement by representing Australia at the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO). We look forward to seeing our current Year 7 Maths Olympiad students take on even more challenging problems and continue their mathematical journey in 2027.

Congratulations to our Year 12 students, the Class of 2026!

Your graduation assembly was such a great example of how positive and memorable your cohort have been. Seeing your faces, alongside those of your loved ones was wonderful to see. You have all achieved great success in your time here at Forest Hill College. Well done!

Six of our senior students recently attended the Model United Nations Assembly (MUNA) at Lyndale Secondary College.

The students were assigned Russia as their country and participated in debates on a number of United Nations resolutions from the perspective of their allocated nation. They were required to follow United Nations protocols and conventions while debating the resolutions.

All six students were excellent representatives of the College. They engaged enthusiastically in the debates and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. It was a valuable opportunity for students to develop their confidence, communication, critical thinking and debating skills while gaining a greater understanding of the work of the United Nations.

A huge congratulations to Noah, who recently competed in the State Music Champions – Clarinet.

We are very excited to announce Noah won not one, but 2, state titles, JUNIOR & OPEN.

No small feat as Noah only began playing in Year 7.

Hard work, dedication and passion really do pay off!

A huge congratulations to the DUX for the Class of 2025, Jen S, who received a Premiers VCE award to celebrate her score of 50 in Psychology.

It was an absolute pleasure to attend the ceremony last week at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre to celebrate her outstanding achievement, alongside her and her family.

The 2026 NAPLAN Results are in!

Our students have demonstrated outstanding growth from Year 7 in 2024 to Year 9 in 2026 at Forest Hill College.

We have excelled, with stunning results in Reading and Numeracy compared to Similar Schools, with high percentages of students reaching strong and exceeding levels.

We are so proud that 97% of our students, have either improved or maintained their proficiency levels during this time. Well done Year 9!
