If you're interested in entering the cleaning industry, this short course is a great introduction to cleaning. Enrol now to start on Monday. This short 5-week course will give you insight and introductory training in cleaning.
Big thanks to Annette Yarn Strong Sista for such a thoughtful session. Anette's sharing was generous and wise. It really got us thinking about how we can continue to work to bring Aboriginal ways of learning, culture and identity into what we do every day at Wingate.

Homelessness is not an unsolvable problem—it’s a policy problem. On World Day of Social Justice, Council to Homeless Persons launched their 2025-26 Victorian Budget Submission, laying out the investments needed to end homelessness in Victoria.
Victoria’s housing crisis is at a breaking point:
• Rents have soared by 13.7% in one year, locking more people out of stable housing
• More than 61,000 Victorians are on the public housing waitlist, with 34,000 on the priority list
• Every day, hundreds of people are being turned away from homelessness services due to lack of resources.
This is a crisis—but we have the solutions. CHP's Budget submission calls for:
• 6,000 new social homes per year for the next decade—the scale of investment Victoria needs
• Dedicated support to end youth homelessness—including 5,000 homes for young people
• Stronger protections for renters to stop evictions leading to homelessness
• More funding for Aboriginal-led solutions, women and children, and LGBTIQ+ housing support.
This is the moment for real action. The decisions made in this year’s State Budget will define Victoria’s housing future.
The roadmap is here. Now, it’s time for the Victorian Government to act. Read the full Budget submission here: https://lnkd.in/g3U7U4bt
