Hastings Community House has a new little run around.
Thanxs to Community Bank Hastings & Mint Auto Styling Somerville.
The car will be used for outreach across Western Port and to expand our food relief service to other agencies.
Our volunteers were keen to get in on the photo -with a regular volunteer also sporting a Hastings Community House logo on their ride.
We have a limited number of free car stickers available, shout out if you’d like to have one on your car and show your support for your Community House. 🏡 😃🙏

Two familar faces returned last week to assist us with the Free Food Wednesday program.
Nyah Andersson - who has helped out @ the Community House regularly with her family since she was 10 years old. Seeing her driving herself in to help us was quite a shock to us all - how time flys 😌
Brody Barton - who started with us as a work experience student a few years back, always checks in to see if we need help and drops in when he can. Now out of school his time is limited but he never lets us down when we say “help plz” 😊
These two are super friendly, helpful, social kids who learned that volunteering time to assist others is rewarding for both themselves and those they help.

Fresh eggs, meat, meals, fruit and veg. All welcome no questions asked from 2.00pm today. BYO bags and come along and stock up on lovely fresh food.🍱

We know what we want for Christmas... But we don't need Santa, we just need the Victorian Government's support!

Here's our list:
🎁 Increase funding for Neighbourhood Houses by 25%
🎁 Support 25 Neighbourhood Houses who do not currently receive any ongoing funding
🎁 Develop a fund for the establishment of 5 additional Neighbourhood Houses in Victoria’s growth areas annually

If we receive our wish list, we can continue to:
🔴 Keep our doors open for the most vulnerable
🔴 Provide pathways into jobs and lifelong learning
🔴 Deliver emergency food and material relief
🔴 Support volunteers and strengthen social connection
🔴 Build safer, healthier, more resilient communities

We've been INCREDIBLY good! In 2024, we supported:
🔵 183,000 weekly visits to Neighbourhood Houses
🔵 5,900 jobs and 12,000 volunteers
🔵 $921 million in measurable community value
🔵 Over 426,000 group activity sessions and provided 10,400 referrals
🔵 Over 244 tons of food relief monthly
🔵 Over 5,945 other community groups
