Fat bikes are easy to spot thanks to their extra-wide tyres, but don't assume every electric fat bike is a legal e-bike.

Some models are capable of speeds and power levels that place them in the motorcycle category.

If that's the case, riders need:

✅ Registration
✅ A motorcycle licence or learner permit
✅ To be 18+

Thinking of buying an e-scooter? 🛴

Not all e-scooters are legal to ride in Victoria.

A legal e-scooter must 👇:

- Have a max speed capability of 25 km/h
- Only be ridden by aged 16+ wearing a helmet
- Be ridden at a maximum speed of 20km/h
- Have two wheels, a handlebar and a footboard
- Weigh less than 45 kg.

Jaiden is missing.

The 17-year-old was last seen at 7:40am at an address in Diamond Creek on Sunday 4 October 2026.

Jaiden was last seen wearing a black hoodie, black jeans and white shoes and is described as 155-160cm in height, dark hair with brown eyes.

Anyone with information or who sights Jaiden is urged to contact Heidelberg Police Station on (03) 9450 8000.

Victoria Police will have a presence at this Saturday’s AAMI Park match between Melbourne Victory and South Melbourne FC for the Australia Cup Final.
This will include highly visible patrols both inside the venue and its vicinity, as well as nearby licensed venues before and after the match.
General duties police will be supported by the Public Order Response Team and Mounted Branch in patrolling around the venue, while PSOs will be conducting patrols of nearby public transport hubs.
Our priority will be ensuring all fans can enjoy the game and get home safely.

** Booze Bus Weekly Round Up **

In the first week of school holidays, between the 21st September through to the 27th September, the Booze Buses detected 21 drink driving offences across the PSA's of Brimbank, Cardinia, Casey, Frankston, Geelong, Glen Eira, Hobsons Bay, Kingston, Knox, Melbourne, Mooney Valley, Whitehorse, Whittlesea and Yarra.

A total of 3 Drug Driving offences were also detected.

Of the 21 Drink Driving offences, 3 of the drivers were more than double the legal limit. In Cranbourne, a driver returned a Breath Alcohol reading of 0.153

Drink driving continues to be a problem on our roads, as motorists appear to be taking more risks, putting other road users in harms way! Being school holidays, children are more likely to be passengers in vehicles. Please make sensible and responsible decisions before getting behind the wheel.

In celebration of World Coffee Day (yes, this is an official awareness day recognised by the UN), we thought we’d share three facts about our favourite brew:

☕ Coffee was first discovered by an Ethiopian goat herder in the 9th century.
☕ Beethoven, like us, was extremely particular about his brew and counted out precisely 60 coffee beans for every single cup (citation required).
☕ You can enjoy a free cup of coffee (or tea🍵) by attending one of your local Coffee with a Cop events.

‘Coffee with a Cop’ sessions are held regularly by local police and provide the community with an opportunity to sit down with their local police to discuss all things crime prevention, personal safety, careers, and more.
