Last October, 11 rabbits were found abandoned in a Melbourne park.

Left to fend for themselves.

Forgotten.

Jagger was one of them.

Thanks to a team effort between several organisations he was saved with 10 others.

But he’s still waiting…

Waiting for someone to choose him, Juliette or Johan. 3 waiting to find homes from the 11 that came into care.

We had just over 11 magical years with this beautiful little floof-ball and when he crossed that Rainbow Bridge 9 years ago, our hearts shattered into a million pieces....

Six months later, I created Lightning’s Kisses Foundation to help very sick buns in small refuges - from assisting with desperately-needed vet care and medicines, to care-in-the-home supplies.

Apart from our bigger public fundraisers, our help is done quietly, behind-the-scenes, stepping in whenever we can to ease the pressure by paying off a vet bill or supplying urgent post-op care packages…

Due to personal health issues, time dedicated to senior parental care and the loss of 2 beloved parents, we have not been as active in the past couple of years, but we will recommence online fundraisers soon - where, as always, 100% of all proceeds go towards to care of very sick bunnies 🩵🐰🩵

My dear friend Brontye Cahill cares for orphaned and sick/wonky bunnies at her beautiful microsanctuary, Bunnies Of The Burrow and via a network of wonderful foster carers…..💗🐰💗

Our vet bills are currently sitting at over $1k and we are having a really hard time getting them paid off!!
We have Everest and Houdini needing vet appointments for their chronic snuffles and have just found out that River has an antibiotic resistant infection in his ear and will need expensive surgery as well as a CT scan. Then we also have three desexings needing to be done in the very near future.
Any tiny bit extra we can usually put towards vet bills is being spent on critical care and medications and probiotics and hydration sachets for little Oaka who is battling head tilt.
We are at a bit of a crisis with funding.
If you can spare even a few dollars it all helps! And makes such a huge difference in the lives of these beautiful bunnies.
