Low security country prison from the Prisoner Cell Block H shows It has been mentioned to be a prison in the country.
Barnhurst Prison was often mentioned, and even seen for a few episodes when Bea Smith is transferred there prior to the amnesia inducing car accident. Many prisoners from Wentworth were transferred to or from Barnhurst, for various reasons, such as for protection, or to break up accomplices. It's security is supposed to be lower than the security of Wentworth, despite the threat of being transfered to Barnhurst making some prisoners behave.

Bea Smith was also transfered (by force) there from Wentworth in an attempt to remove what the Department felt was a disruptive influence. While here, Bea caught up with Marie Winter, and met Janie Chapman. During this time, Marie was top dog at Barnhurst, and due to the low security, managed to smuggle magic mushrooms in on a regular basis. These mushrooms were also used to drug Bea, making her an enemy of Marie's forever.
It was later revealed that some if not all of the screws at Barnhurst knew all about the mushrooms, but allowed them, to keep the prisoners manageable, suggesting corruption within the Department, or simply not telling them.
Vera Bennett was promoted and given the job of Governor at Barnhurst. Presumably she was happy to be away from Bea Smith, but Bea was transferred there a few years later.
Due to Barnhurst being revealled as a low security prison, Blackmoore became the new deterrent for threatening prisoners.
