From Kevin Poulter
President, Save Kingswood
Dear Residents
Kingswood suffered a setback recently.
Council had many issues, including not wanting to be responsible for 2 smaller dams and much more mess. So they took the matter to VCAT, but then they were told they were four days late in making their submission.
Residents are extremely unhappy with that, so we ask council to apply to make an appeal to the Supreme Court. Please send the letter below to these emails in Council and more.
By all means write your own words, but please keep it business-like and civil, or your message will not be read…

Kingswood overdevelopment
Dear Councillors
After so many years of excellent support by Kingston council, we were shocked at the rejection by VCAT and the reason.
I am writing to express in the strongest possible terms our wish that Kingston Council appeals VCAT's decision in the Supreme Court.
We are still coming to terms with the Council's reported 'mistake' as advised by VCAT. We struggle to understand how such a purported mistake could have occurred.
We are also concerned by the presence of Monitors appointed ahead of the Planning Minister's decision in October.
There are no words that can truly describe the shock and disbelief of residents. After 13 years of battle and 8,000 objections. For residents the Council now needs to be in damage mitigation via the Supreme Court.
We can only hope the Supreme Court path may reverse the Council's mistake and allow council and residents the opportunity for a fair hearing on the merits.

Dear Minister
I was shocked at the rejection by VCAT to hear council’s problems with Kingswood and the reason.
We are still coming to terms with the Council's reported 'mistake' as advised by VCAT. We struggle to understand how such a purported mistake could have occurred.
We are also concerned by the presence of Monitors and their term extended.
There are no words that can truly describe the shock and disbelief of residents. After 13 years of battle and 8,000 objections.
We can only hope with your help democracy will return to Dingley Village and you use your influence to reverse the Council's mistake and allow council and residents the opportunity for a fair hearing on the merits.
