Anyone who’s been owned by a sighthound knows that a martingale (or a wardrobe full of them) is a staple of day-to-day life. These important safety tools can prevent our fast friends from slipping loose on walks and avoid unnecessary strain on their long necks. Although these collars are widely used in the hound (and dog) communities, they are often fitted incorrectly and left on during inappropriate times. The guide below was created to help give adopters a brief visual on proper martingale use! This is a NO SHAME post!! As loving owners we’re always learning and relearning, and there’s no shame in needing a hand in that process!
