Just when the Dignity freezer is empty, along comes Cass from Cranbourne West Secondary College, with freshly cooked meals from her students. Yummy, healthy chicken soup, sweet and sour chicken, and macaroni cheese. Keeping people warm and fed. Thanks team - it takes a community 🥰 🥘 🍜

🩷Are You Safe at Home? Day 11 May 2026🩷

Trigger warning- DV, FV, SV

🩷 Today, we stand alongside Safe and Equal to raise awareness of domestic, family and sexual violence and the devastating impact it continues to have across Australia.

The statistics are confronting, but behind every number is a person, a family, a story, and a community affected. Domestic, family and sexual violence can affect anyone regardless of age, culture, gender, sexuality, ability, or background. Many experiences remain hidden, unreported, and unsupported.

🩷 Today is about more than awareness. It is about listening, believing, supporting, and working together toward safer homes, safer relationships, and safer communities for everyone. 🕊️

✨️A very special thank you to our incredible Outreach Team ✨️

🩷 We want to take a moment to truly acknowledge the amazing work of our outreach workers, Vanessa and Clare. What they do goes far beyond simply being present in the community within the City of Casey. They show up with genuine care, compassion, and a deep commitment to making sure no one feels alone.

🤝🏻Recently, they took the initiative to connect with the chemotherapy day unit at Monash Health Moorabbin Hospital, where they met with the amazing social worker Pauley to build stronger pathways of support for patients and families navigating incredibly difficult circumstances.

🎗When life suddenly changes due to medical challenges, it can be overwhelming and often difficult to know what pathways are available, where to turn, or who to connect with. This is exactly why outreach is so important. Services like Casey North Community Information & Support Service Inc. Community Information & Support Cranbourne Inc. play a vital role in being that connection point, helping people find the right support, at the right time, when they need it most.

🫂 Vanessa and Clare didn’t just have a conversation, they opened doors. They shared knowledge, built meaningful connections, and helped ensure that no one has to navigate these challenges alone.

🧡 This is what true outreach looks like. Quiet, powerful, and life-changing. We are so proud and grateful to have Vanessa and Clare as part of our team.

🌼Thank you for everything you do, your work is seen, valued, and deeply appreciated. 💙
