A remarkable pair of Japanese bronze vases, dating from the Meiji era. The heavy-guage bronzes are intricately onlaid in gold, silver and shibuichi in shakudo. The scenes depict birds feeding on insects, amongst Wisteria vines in bloom.

A fine pair of silver, enamel, makie-e lacquer and Shibayama inlaid vases, from the late Meiji era. The pair depicting scenes of nature, with a variety of semi-precious materials inlaid using the Shibayama technique.

An exceptional Satsuma ware small-scale saki ewer, dating from the Meiji era. Painted by the Ryozan studio, the ewer depicits scenes of feeding quail, bijin women and a gentleman/performer with a monkey riding on his back.
