Hey Yall,
we just wanted to put up our policies up for ESJ,
Matthew, Jason and Alyx have been working hard in listening to the everyday struggles of students at Monash University and asking the people what they want the future of Monash clayton to look like. We want to continue the work that previous ESJ officers have put forth but with a new and bold sustainable direction. REGEN will put people and planet first, so vote 1 Regen, because its Bratš

VOTE for 1 REGEN (16- 18th of september) for MSA Q***r 2025
12/09/2024
If elected, here's our future plan for the MSA Q***r Department.
If elected our future plan for this space includes:
1) A trans mutual aid fund called (T4T) .
> Advocate for Monash Uni to subsidise gender affirming care like so many other universities (UBC)
> Get a 'binder library' program up and running, facilitating free binders for trans students
> Increase supplies for padded underwear and tucking supplies
> Workshops for trans and gender diverse students informing how to tuck and bind safely
> Increase mental health support for trans and gender diverse students, including providing information on trans and gender diverse identifying therapist and allies .
2) Creating safe and brave spaces
While we may know what 'safe spaces' are, 'Brave Spaces' encourage people to be courageous, confront biases and challenge perspective constructively. Having set brave spaces outside the lounge, intersectional panels and events challenges our own biases. Both are necessary in order to move the community forward.
3) Outreach and involvement
What this year has taught is, our strength in community will always triumph, and that the Q department can do outreach events. We can do both, looking at national/International issues surrounding queerness and take care for our local community. We can stand in solidarity and fundraise for people in need. Give those in need a mic, because we are not truly free until we are all free.
if this resonates with you please vote 1 REGEN for Q***r office Brearer (16th -19th of September), because its Brat.

Hey Yall,
As Regen at Monash, we fully support the community focused girlies and Charlotte Sutton (she is the moment!). We fully support "Access MSA " for the Disabilities and Carers office in the MSA. Charlotte has dedicated her life to advocating for better services and protections for the disability community. Like us, she couldn't care less about political games and is always community first. So vote [1] ACCESS for the Disabilities and Carers office (both OB and Committee!) because voting for minorites to have a voice, representation, and POWER is Brat š

Heya there, we are your ESJ Regen candidates for the upcoming MSA elections, remember, vote Regen because itās Brat š
Hey (Hujambo), my name is Jason Kariuki and Iām a Kenyan born student studying IT and Science at Monash University. Growing up in Kenya, Iāve seen first hand the devastating affects climate change and social inequalities can have on a large scale to disenfranchised people, from having locus eat our crops, to having the rich get richer whilst the poor get poorer, it is this lived experience that I can bring to the table. Growing up Kenyan, Iāve always been told that these climate disasters, these social inequalities and institutions lack of actions is ānormalā, but that is something Iāve refused to accept. In my lifetime, I have helped organise and mobilise students from my school to participate in the school strikes for climate, I held mass petitions and community outreach to demand our local council implement and provide composting bins, and I have always envisioned a greener, cleaner, regenerated Monash that cares for these issues. Likewise, climate justice always means social justice, and social justice always means climate justice. With this ethos, I will always fight for a more equitable and just Monash. Itās time to regenerate Monash!
On a similar note, my name is Matthew Marich and Iām a 1st generation Australian who cares deeply about environmental and social justice, specifically Monashās role and ability to do more. I care deeply about environmental and social justice and this is reflected in my prior work too. Like Jason, I have attended and helped organise many climate rallies to get our local council to go net zero and implement compostable bins (something which Monash has yet to properly implement). I have worked deeply and close to members of Parliament and realised that systematic change happens from within the systems, and only when we fight will things change. Vote Regen to change the Apple from the core. At the end of the day itās brat.

To kick start us off, we have these passionate candidates, which you will hear more about in the upcoming days. So please vote 1 Regen, because its Brat.
