Just a few weeks ago, ONCALL Group Australia partnered with Melbourne Royal Show for the third consecutive year to deliver the Sensory Lounge, helping make one of Victoria’s largest events more inclusive for everyone.

For some people, the crowds, noise and excitement of a major event can be overwhelming. Having a space to pause, reset and recharge can make the difference between missing out and being part of the experience.

Across 11 days, the free Sensory Lounge welcomed 2,581 visits, with dedicated Glow, Rec and Low-Stim Rooms and support staff providing a safe, welcoming space for visitors and their families.

We’re proud to be helping lead the way in accessibility and disability inclusion, demonstrating how thoughtful, accessible spaces can transform the experience of large-scale events.

2,581 visits. 11 days. One space that made a real difference. 💛

At the 2026 Melbourne Royal Show, held just a few weeks ago, ONCALL Group Australia was proud to deliver the Sensory Lounge for the third consecutive year.

The Melbourne Royal Show is full of excitement, but for some, it can also be overwhelming.

For the third year running, ONCALL Group Australia partnered with Melbourne Royal Show to create the Sensory Lounge, a free, fully accessible space where people living with disability, their families and carers could take a break, reset and return to the fun when they were ready.

Across the 11 days of the 2026 Show, the Lounge welcomed 2,581 visits, averaging more than 230 a day and reaching 373 visits on our busiest day.

With dedicated Glow, Rec and Low-Stim Rooms and support staff on hand, the space offered more than a break. It helped families stay longer, enjoy more of the Show and feel included in the experience.

Because accessibility isn’t an added extra. It’s what helps more people be part of the experience.

Vinn and Matthew had a ripper time at the Melbourne Royal Show today! 🎡🐶🚓

Both made the most of their days out, enjoying the rides, exploring the Show, meeting the Victoria Police team and getting to meet some of the police dogs along the way. They also made time to pop into our ONCALL Sensory Lounge and say hello! 🧡

This morning, we had the pleasure of sitting down with Ellen from ArchitectureandAccess inside our Sensory Lounge at the Melbourne Royal Show to share the story behind the space and the vision that drives it.

Creating more accessible and inclusive experiences starts with understanding what people and communities need, and recognising how much difference a dedicated space to pause, reset and recharge can make.

Our Sensory Lounge at the Royal Melbourne Show is one example of what’s possible, and we’re excited to keep having these conversations and exploring how sensory-friendly spaces can become part of more events and experiences across Victoria.

We are so excited to be bringing our Sensory Lounge back to the Melbourne Royal Show next Thursday the 24th of September! 🎡

Our Sensory Lounge is a space designed to give people a chance to take 5, relax, reset and recharge when the excitement of the Show becomes a little overwhelming.

Wendy and Michael had a great time at last year’s event, making the most of the Sensory Lounge before getting back out there and enjoying the Show. 💛

We can’t wait to welcome you back again this year!

Today ONCALL I SACARE came together over morning tea for RU OK? Day. Good coffee, plenty of cake, and people sitting down to genuinely ask how each other are going. 🌟

It’s easy to pass someone in the kitchen every day and never really know how they’re travelling. Everyone has weeks that are heavier than they look, and often the person doing it toughest is the one who says they’re fine.

So while today gave us a reason to stop and check in, we hope it doesn’t end here. Ask today. Ask again next week.
And when the answer isn’t a simple one, stay in the conversation.
