🌏 Happy Global TVET Day!
Today we celebrate the educators, trainers, practitioners, industry partners and learners who make vocational education and training such a powerful force for opportunity and growth.

TVET equips people with the skills, confidence and capabilities needed to thrive in work, contribute to their communities, and adapt to a changing world. At the VET Development Centre, we are proud to support the people at the heart of the VET sector and recognise the important work they do every day.

A special artificial intelligence (AI) edition of ASQA IQ provides an important reminder about AI and what is needed for robust assessment decision making.
The testing exposed a significant threat to assessment validity when it was discovered that the avatar responded favourably to particular expressions, allowing participants to achieve a successful outcome by repeating the right phrases even when the overall quality of the conversation was poor.

BA TRƯỜNG ĐỐI TÁC CỦA VDC ĐƯỢC CÔNG NHẬN LÀ TRƯỜNG CAO ĐẲNG CHẤT LƯỢNG CAO! [English below]

THREE VDC PARTNER COLLEGES RECOGNISED AS NATIONAL HIGH-QUALITY COLLEGES IN VIETNAM!

VDC is proud to have contributed to this journey through the Aus4Skills VET Program, delivering short courses for VET practitioners at the Vocational College of Machinery and Irrigation (VCMI), Hue Industrial College, and Vien D**g College.

From March 2026, these colleges are officially recognised as National High‑Quality Colleges (Colleges of Excellence) under Vietnam’s VET system.

Across the three institutions, VDC supported a broad range of roles - including Vice Principals, Deans, Heads, Vice Heads, Lecturers, and Officers - demonstrating strong engagement from both senior leaders and teaching staff.

This achievement reflects the colleges’ commitment to quality, inclusion, and continuous improvement—and highlights the tangible impact of the Australia–Vietnam partnership in skills development.

We were also delighted to visit Vien D**g College in Ho Chi Minh City in March during the Australia Awards Fellowship Symposium.
