Student democracy matters. Decisions that represent students should never be made without them.

Students were promised a competition, yet an AI-generated design was selected without a genuine vote or meaningful consultation. That undermines trust and student participation.

YLDA stands for transparency and student-led decision-making across campuses.

Today our caucus members attended the One Year Out Rally, joining Labor groups from across Victoria.

We are ready to fight for a progressive and pragmatic Labor government. Ready to defend workers’ rights. Ready to stand with Victorians from every community.

Equal pay for equal work matters. Yet young adults under 21 are still earning less for the same jobs as their older co-workers.

The stories in this campaign show young workers carrying full responsibility, managing stores and supporting their workplaces while being paid less for no reason other than their age.

We support Adult Age = Adult Wage because no adult should be discounted.

After a week of visibility and pride, today we mark Transgender Day of Remembrance.

YLDA stands with the transgender community and remembers those who have been lost to anti-trans violence and discrimination.

We will be attending the Vigil in Collingwood tonight.

Yesterday, Victoria signed the first Treaty in Australia, marking an important step toward truth, recognition and shared decision-making with First Peoples.

This moment reflects the work of generations who have fought for justice and self-determination. We stand with First Nations communities as Victoria begins this next chapter grounded in respect and partnership.

We mark 50 years since the dismissal of the Whitlam Government.

Whitlam was a visionary who believed in the power of unions, public institutions and collective action to build a more equal society. His reforms reshaped our country, and the work to defend and expand them continues.

If you want to help build that work here, contact us.
