This week is National Volunteers Week, and our craft group was invited to attend the Volunteers Appreciation Day at Northern Hospital. Hospital staff expressed their sincere appreciation for the wonderful support our craft group provides to the various hospital departments.
A video produced by hospital staff, highlighting the work of our craft group, was screened, followed by a presentation by Joan and the team involved in coordinating the Northern Hospital donations.
Well done, ladies, on an excellent presentation, and congratulations to all members of the Whittlesea City Salvos Craft Group for your outstanding contribution to the wider community.

Another wonderful morning at our Ladies Breakfast! A sincere thank you to everyone who contributed to making it such a success. We are truly blessed with a dedicated team who work together so seamlessly to ensure everything runs smoothly.

Our guest speaker, Captain Alison Templar, shared about her role as a chaplain in two women’s prisons, offering meaningful insights into prison life. She spoke of the importance of being present—to listen, to understand, and to support women who are not defined by their mistakes, but who often find themselves in difficult circumstances.

Alison’s love and compassion for the women she meets each day were evident, and she thoughtfully connected her work to scripture that speaks so powerfully into her ministry.

Our craft table was once again a highlight, delighting many of the ladies. With plenty of purchases made, the funds raised will enable the group to continue supporting the many projects they so faithfully undertake.

As part of our Easter reflection a beautiful and moving Tenebrae service was held tonight. This is a service that dramatises the abandonment of Jesus and his death.
