This afternoon NSW RFS - Millthorpe Fire Brigade and NSW RFS - Blayney Brigade were called to a grass fire on the Millthorpe Rd. Approximately half an acre was burnt. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
Please be mindful that although we have had a lot of rain recently the underlying grass is still very dry and will be easily ignited

The brigade would like to thank Jo Copelin and the team at Millthorpe Medical Pharmacy and Post Office for successfully nominating us for a 2026 People of Post Grants. Thanks to their support, we have been able to purchase four new Icom VHF radio, significantly improving our communication capabilities and helping us to better serve and protect our community.
On Monday night, Greg Stark, on behalf of the Millthorpe Post Office team, presented Brigade Captain, Jed Saunders and Brigade President, Warwick Sharples with the new radios.
We are incredibly grateful to the team at Millthorpe Post Office for thinking of our brigade and for the effort they put into securing this funding opportunity. Community support like this makes a real difference.
