Youth Parliament 2026 Program applications are open now!

Youth Parliament is a non-partisan program providing a platform for young people aged 15-25 to voice their views on important issues, build leadership skills, parliamentary understanding, and learn about democracy.

As a Youth Parliamentarian, you will learn all about parliamentary process, how to write a bill - and how to debate it in Parliament House. You will also have the opportunity to build essential skills in public speaking and working in teams.

A shoutout to YCC members Antony who won the 2025 Awards Australia Foundation Connecting Communities Award and Cameron who was featured as a 'Young Entrepreneur to Watch'. πŸ‘

Following the official opening, the Trott Park Neighbourhood Centre will be hosting an open day with come and try activities, face painting, bush tucker planting, craft activities and much more!

These upgrades have been jointly funded through the Australian Government’s Investing in Our Communities Program, and the City of Marion.

This event was envisioned by YCC member and Young Citizen of the Year, Antony Abbracciavento, to foster connections between disabled and able-bodied individuals.

Attendees will enjoy live musicians, yoga, movie screening, dining in the dark experience and an expo!

The next round of Community Grants and Youth Grants are open.

Through its Community Vision and Strategic Plan, the City of Marion has expressed a strong commitment to support the community through several grant opportunities.

Funds received will go towards a number of programs and projects that benefit our local community.
