Moama 379 – Stepping Up for a Great Cause

Today, two of our female firefighters from Fire and Rescue NSW Moama 379 took on the gruelling Melbourne Firefighter Stair Climb for the very first time!

Climbing 28 floors in full firefighting gear, they pushed themselves to the limit while raising much-needed funds for Lifeline, Peter MacCallum Cancer Foundation and the 000 Foundation supporting cancer research, crisis support and the mental health and wellbeing of emergency service personnel.
Between them, the girls have raised an incredible $3,110!

For their first ever Stair Climb, what an achievement! We’re extremely proud of them for stepping up, taking on the challenge and representing Moama 379.

28 floors. 25kg of gear. One hell of a challenge.
Well done girls!

Fire and Rescue NSW Station 379 Moama responded to a significant oil spill, creating extremely hazardous and slippery road conditions for motorists.

Working alongside Murray River Council, our firefighters quickly contained and cleaned up the spill, reducing the risk of further accidents and helping to keep the community safe.

Incidents like these highlight that Fire and Rescue NSW responds to far more than fires. From hazardous materials incidents to rescues and road safety, our crews are ready to respond whenever the community needs us.

A big thank you to Murray River Council for their assistance and teamwork on scene.
