Thinking about buying an electric fat bike?

Fat bikes are easy to spot thanks to their extra-wide tyres, but don't assume every electric fat bike is a legal e-bike.

Some models are capable of speeds and power levels that place them in the motorcycle category.

If that's the case, riders need:

✅ Registration
✅ A motorcycle licence or learner permit
✅ To be 18+

🚗💨 180 in an 80 zone? That’s one way to have a bad day!

On Tuesday night at 8:30 pm on the Westall Road Extension, a 19-year-old P1 driver from Cranbourne was detected travelling at 180 km/h in an 80 km/h zone in his grandfather’s 2007 Volkswagen Passat.
His reason? He’d had a bad day.

Unfortunately, a bad day doesn’t come with a licence to speed. 🤷‍♂️
The driver will be charged with exceeding the speed limit and speeding dangerously. And grandad's car.... you guessed it.... impounded for 30 days.

The road isn’t your racetrack. Slow down before your bad day becomes everyone else’s.

😀Recently, police paid a special visit to Southern Autistic School in Bentleigh East. Southern Autistic School (SAS) is a specialist school dedicated to the education of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and with significant deficits in language.

Students of various ages were thrilled to dress like a Police Officer, conduct breath tests on their teachers and take over a Booze Bus for the day. Our members thoroughly enjoyed engaging with the students, assisting them to feel less intimidated people in uniform while promoting trust and approachability should they become lost or otherwise need our assistance in the future.

This was also a great opportunity for our members to engage with young people with Autism in a positive and fun environment, as well as learn more about Autism and how it effects young people.💙❤️
